Five checks take two minutes and work for any app.
Google Play shows "Contains ads" and "In-app purchases" there. The App Store shows "In-App Purchases" next to the Get button.
On the App Store, open "In-App Purchases" in the Information section. Names like "Premium Yearly" mean a subscription.
A "Start free trial" screen before you can log means the app is built around a subscription.
If export costs money, your history stays locked in the app. Look for CSV, JSON, or PDF export in the free tier.
Open "App Privacy" on the App Store or "Data safety" on Google Play. It lists what the app collects and if it links data to you.
These reasons come from the app itself: its privacy screen and its Settings.
Nobody can promise forever. The app's privacy screen says a paid subscription is planned to cover development cost. Today no subscription exists, and every feature is free. The open source code stays public under the MIT license.
See the code on GitHubNo feature list behind a paywall. This is the whole app.

Emotions
Each emotion has a short description, so you can find the right word.

Notes
Add a note to any entry. Search the calendar by text, mood, or tag.
Your entries, notes, and tags stay on your phone. Pixy has no account, so there is nothing to sign in to.
Pixy sends anonymous usage data (PostHog) and crash reports (Sentry) to find errors. Neither includes your entries, notes, or tags.
In the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, usage data is off until you opt in. Elsewhere it is on by default. You can turn it off any time in Settings › Privacy.
